HSE Officer

Job Purpose:
The HSE will provide expertise in the field of Health, Safety and Environment and ensure that basic safety standards are met in all ACTION project sites, offices and workshops.

Main Responsibilities:
- Health, Safety and Environment.
- Provide expertise in the field of HSE and be available to help employees, visitors and customers as required.
- Monitor compliance to HSE standards throughout all project sites, offices and workshops and maintain continuous dialogue to communicate HSE performance.
- Carry out risk assessments on project sites and workshops to explain the importance of following relevant operating instructions and wearing correct PPE (personal protective equipment) for health and safety requirements and environmental hazards.
- Investigate all company accidents/incidents, prepare incident reports and provide corrective action according to the department’s Emergency Response Plan, in a timely and efficient manner.
- Identify and deliver training across ACTION to increase awareness of HSE and reduce probability of incidents/accidents.
- Work with QHSE Manager and deliver training on the subject of HSE.

Education:
- Degree or Diploma in any engineering discipline.
- Diploma in Health & Safety or equivalent.
- Certification in Oil/ Petrochemical Industry Safety, Confined Space Entry, H2S & Brething apparatus etc is a must.
- OSHA Certificate holder.
- UAE Driving License essential.

Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in large scale Engineering & Construction projects in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry.
- 2-3 yrs of experience with hydro jetting activities in the oil and gas sector.

Operational Locations (Awareness of), Investigations (Ability to Carry Out), Site Surveys, HSE Knowledge, HSE Practices, First aid knowledge.
