ADSSC - Abu Dhabi

The project involved emptying a 1000 mm diameter sewage pipeline that contained between 600 to 1500 cu.m of sewage from an existing wash out chamber. The sewage had to be removed from a depth of 1 – 7 m and over-pumped to an existing line or chamber.

ACTION supplied pumps capable of pumping 400 cu.m/hr, with a suction lift of 5 m and discharge pressure of 5 bar. Ultrasonic flow-meters were used to monitor the flowrates. A common pipe work system was adopted to allow either of the pump units to operate.
