LOUVRE MUSEUM

Louvre Museum, Abu Dhabi covers an area of 112,184 m2, surrounded by Arabian Sea. The project required a dry platform of more than -8.00 (NADD) to allow for the construction of structure. The comprehensive scope of work includes, ground water control works and piezometer monitoring, flow meter reading monitoring and reporting.

ACTION recommended after modelling a system to meet up to these high expectations. This involved the design, installation and pumping to reduce the ground water table to create a dry platform.

The proposed operation allowed for the initial drawdown to be achieved and maintained throughout the construction without causing an obstruction to the development of works.
