Key Accountabilities:
Supporting operational management in achieving compliance with client QHSE management systems, legislative requirements and standards including adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISPO 45001.
Organizing the safety team day to day operations.
Be the point of contact for the Head of QHSE and the team.
Promptly responding to all reports of unsafe conditions, unsafe activities, and incidents, near misses, which are received, from Action workers and subcontractors. Taking prompt corrective action and advising senior management accordingly with regard to unsafe/unhealthy procedures, methods, facilities, equipment and substance.
To ensure all training, coaching site inspections and safety observations are being carried out correctly and in accordance to KPI’s.
Responsible for preparing the company’s overall monthly QHSE Dashboard submitted to Head of QHSE.
Ensure the HSE & Safety Officers are given daily duties.
Attending clients / main contractors and Action safety meeting as per the given schedule and reporting to the management if required.
Responsible for tracking monthly HSE statistics and promptly updating the Head of QHSE.
Key requirements for the role:
Knowledge of QHSE local official regulations.
Must be tactful and diplomatic.
Able to work independently within the guidelines set out by the Head of QHSE.
Able to effectively liaise and converse with client HSE managers and teams
Effective communication skills, with ability to deliver presentations and communicate issues clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Hold a current driving license
Minimum High school with a Diploma.
Certification in Health & safety from a reputable institution (NEBOSH IGC or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years of experience in a HSE Team Lead role.
